This year, we are partnering with our 3rd grade crew for YO (younger and older) buddies. We meet once a week on Friday afternoons to read, explore, grapple and build relationships.
It is so powerful to sit back and watch as these 3rd graders take on the role of a mentor with kind, specific, helpful feedback.
Our mentors are great listeners and compassionate to their younger buddy.
Fridays are such a treat when we see "YO Buddies" listed on our daily adventure. My kindie crew loves seeing their YO Buddies in the hallways or outside.
