Kindergarteners As Authors

Writer's Workshop is one of our favorite times of the day.  This is a time in our day to share ideas, stories and learnings through oral conversations and writing.

We use authors, such as Eric Carle, as mentors along with genres, most recently non-fiction.  During this process, we read Eric Carle's book as writer's to see what we noticed about his craft.

We loved reading non-fiction and being inspired by all the things non-fiction authors do.

In addition, we continue to practice spaces, neat handwriting and ending periods to make our writing high quality.  We are excited to continue to grow as authors to include the use of capitals at the beginning, lowercase letters and a variety of ending punctuation.
